Arareity Presents: Masriera Trunk Show

An 18kt gold and enamel jewelry line reminiscent of Lalique has been in production since 1839, in Barcelona, Spain. They offer artistic, historically significant jewelry designs which are an unusual dimension of jewelry that is both classical and as interesting as it is elegant.

Masriera has been featured in the New York’s MOMA, in a show of Catalan art entitled, “Barcelona and Modernity: Gaudi to Dali”. Upcoming exhibitions include Amsterdam’s display of eleven original pieces by the Catalan Art Nouveau Jeweler Louis’ Masriera, in the “Barcelona 1900” showing in the Van Gogh Museum. A show entitled “Artistic Luxury” will be at the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. This show will feature the Louis Masriera line of jewelry which is an 18kt gold and enamel jewelry line that has been in production since 1839 and features Art Nouveau and Art Deco design.

The worldwide prestige of Masriera lies in the movement that was referred to in Catalonia as “Modernism”, and known internationally as “Art Nouveau”. In 1925, Masriera was one of the celebrities in the Paris exhibition entitled “Modern, Industrial and Decorative Arts,” at which “Art Deco” first emerged. Masriera was one of the driving forces behind European decorative arts at the end of the 19th century and is the only brand of Spanish jewelry to have a presence in the world’s leading museums.

Arareity cordially invites you to our Masriera Trunk show. Showing Saturday September 10th 10:00am to 9:00pm at Sacramento’s Second Saturday Art Walk.
